All Time Low pede donativos para as vítimas das chuvas

Banda americana se apresenta hoje em São Paulo e mobiliza os jovens fãs.

Rio - Até o grupo norte-americano All Time Low se sensibilizou com a tragédia na região serrana do Rio. Na apresentação de hoje, no Vivo Rio, eles pediram aos fãs que contribuam levando itens de higiene pessoal. Alex Gaskarth (vocal e guitarra), Jack Barakat (guitarra), Zack Merrick (baixo) e Rian Dawson (bateria) mostram, assim, generosidade nessa primeira visita ao Brasil e alimentam expectativas.

“Falam que o Brasil é maravilhoso, que os fãs cantam tudo,que as plateias são loucas. Vamos tocar em sete cidades, conheceremos bem o País. Queremos ir à praia se tivermos um tempo”, avisa o guitarrista Jack Barakat.

Apesar de não conhecerem a música nacional, eles já têm fãs por aqui. A banda Restart já marcou encontro com o All Time Low após o show e admite a influência da banda, que agrada toda a galera teen.

“O rock sempre foi jovem, os Beatles viraram fenômeno ainda jovens,os Stones e todas as grandes bandas começaram a pegar suas guitarras e a fazer musica ainda jovens. Nós temos todos mais de 20 anos e estamos na estrada desde 2003. O rock nunca deixará de ser feito por jovens e para jovens”, acredita Jack.

Os shows contarão com as participações das bandas Motion City Soundtrack e College 11, que vão esquentar a plateia antes de os meninos soltarem toda a sua irreverência no palco. Depois do Rio, o All Time Low embarca para Florianopolis (20), Campinas (21), Belo Horizonte (23), Guarujá (24), Porto Alegre (27), Curitiba (28) e São Paulo (29).







All Time Low is an American pop punk band from Baltimore, Maryland, formed in 2003. The band consists of vocalist and rhythm guitarist Alexander Gaskarth, lead guitarist and backing vocalist Jack Barakat, bassist and back vocalist Zachary Merrick, and drummer Rian Dawson. The band's name is taken from lyrics in the song "Head on Collision" by New Found Glory.

Formed while still in high school, All Time Low started out covering pop punk bands such as Green Day. They signed their first record deal with Emerald Moon Records in 2004 and released their first EP, titled The Three Words to Remember in Dealing with the End later that year. Their first studio album, The Party Scene, was released July 2005. Before graduating high school in 2006, they signed a record deal with Hopeless Records and re-recorded songs from their debut album and included two new songs for their EP Put Up or Shut Up. The EP entered both the Independent Albums and Top Heatseekers charts.
In 2007, All Time Low released So Wrong, It's Right, which entered the Billboard 200 at number 62. The band was eventually selected as Alternative Press Magazine's Band of the Year for 2008. Their third album Nothing Personal was released in July 2009, debuting at number four on the Billboard 200.
